NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating five teenagers wanted in connection with two robberies in New York City.
Police said both incidents happened about an hour apart on Aug 5, first in Lower Manhattan and then in Brooklyn.
Around 4:45 p.m. the suspects approached a 41-year-old man while he was walking to work near 33 Gold Street. Police said the teens surrounded the man, assaulted him and stole his cell phone and cash before fleeing into a nearby subway station.

Then, around 5:40 p.m., the same group attacked a 32-year-old man inside the Borough Hall subway station in Brooklyn. The suspects got away with the victim’s cell phone and wallet.
Police described all five suspects as black males between 16 and 18 years old.
